Just a couple days after a massive snowstorm, Gina and Lawrence tied the knot at the rustic venue, The Gables at Chadds Ford. Snow covered the ground but the couple was cheerful everything was set for a perfect evening. Their venue sits on some historic grounds and dates back to 1897 when it played a rustic bank barn.
The Gables at Chadds Ford, capable of accommodating up to 160 guests, offers a rustic venue with large barn doors, vibrant green foliage, fresh looking wood, and metal chairs for that added touch of character. The bridal party got ready in an adorable private cottage, available to those getting married and accompanied by complimentary light refreshments. The bride wore a full lace gown with sleeves, perfect for both the weather and the venue.
The ceremony then took place, where the bride walked down the aisle as a giant iron chandelier hung above. The room was covered in greenery and lanterns to give the room that romantic glow. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour inside a heated tent provided by the venue. Perfect for the chilly or rainy conditions. The area is also available to act as an exquisite outside patio for those warmer weddings. A point of relief for many brides who may be worried about weather conditions on their big day.
The reception was held in the same room, where guests were surrounded by large French windows, glistening candles, and the beautiful rustic theme that was perfectly carried out throughout their entire wedding. Much to the appreciation of the bride, the entire venue was decorated by the staff of The Gables at Chadds Ford. There was no doubt the decorating was done by professionals who knew how to combine romance and those beautiful rustic elements.
During their reception, they let the fun continue with some of the most incredible food. Our nj videographer enjoyed the beef option entree, exclaiming it was the best she has ever had! The celebration moved along with some fun music, featuring the hits of the 80’s and 90’s like “The Perculator” and “The Girl is Poison”. This had everyone, including the bride and groom dancing the entire night.
For a quick break, the bride and groom paused to enjoy some of their cupcake tower. Complete with a small traditional carrot cake wedding cake. The perfect touch to their evening and rustic ceremony at The Gables at Chadds Ford.
